My name is Savannah and I’m originally from South Africa. I have been living and playing hockey in Belgium for over 4 years. As my sole job is hockey, I am free all day during most of the week. I absolutely love animals and grew up with dogs (Alsatians and Irish Terriers). I have also lived with friends and their dogs (Cavapoo and a Turkish Shepherd mix) and cat. Whenever my friends have had to go to work or go away, I have looked after their pets and kept them entertained and happy. I live with my boyfriend, Sean, in Antwerp and as we are at home most days we are looking to keep busy, and what better way than to look after a furry friend. I am a very active person, so taking your pet out on long walks and playing with them is only a pleasure for me. I live in an apartment and don’t have a terrace/garden, but taking your pet out whenever they need is no issue. I am available to come to your house to pet sit, have your pet come to me for the day, or to even house sit or have your pet come stay with me while you are away. Although most of my experience is with dogs, I love all animals and will take care of them as if they were my own. I will only take vaccinated pets into my home. 

Services I offer:

• Medication administration
• Dog boarding - maximum of 2 dogs at a time
• Dog walks - depending on the dog's needs, I can walk them anywhere from 30-60 minutes, or more if needed. I can offer 2-3 walks a day.
• House visits/sitting - I can come to your home during the days and can even stay the night if it is needed. I can water your plants and bring in your mail as I do this at my home too. If I stay in your home, I will make sure all doors are locked and that your pet is secure. I will follow all instructions left to me to ensure your pet and home are safe and sound.

Time spent with pets:

• I am a hockey player and coach, therefore I do not work during most days. From Monday-Friday (except Wednesday) I am at home until 5pm. On Wednesdays, I am at home until 2:30pm. However, I live with my boyfriend and he is at home all day and night on Mondays and Wednesdays. During the weeknights (except Tuesday), I will be away for a maximum of 2.5 hours, but my boyfriend can cover this time that I am away.
• We are able to supervise guest pets 24/7.

My home:

• I live with my boyfriend in a one bedroom apartment in Antwerp.
• The guest pets are allowed to sleep in the living room. If they sleep in your bed at home, we have no problem allowing this too.
• We do not have a backyard, which is why we are able to take your pet out on as many walks as they need. We would prefer to host pets that are well trained and will ask to go out if they need it (by scratching at the door or crying?)

• Saturday and Sunday: Morning, Afternoon, Evening
