Aiko was the perfect sitter for our dog - Polly. With only one overnight stay at Aiko's place, Polly got lots & lots of walks, cuddles & she also made a lovely cat-friend :) Aiko stayed in touch during the entire stay, we didn't have to worry at all. Polly is only a 7 month old pup, Aiko was able to handle this perfectly. Next time we need a sitter, we'll definitely contact Aiko again! Definitely recommended!
Home dog boarding on Pawshake means that your pup stays with a host family for a set amount of time while you are away. The host family feeds, walks and cares for your furry friend just as lovingly as you would.
Feel-good factor: Unlike at a boarding kennel, your pooch will not be locked up in a cage. They will have a second home and temporarily become a part of the host family.
While you are travelling or in emergency situations: There are many possible reasons why you might want to board your dog. Most often, you will need somebody to care for your dog while you are travelling, whether it’s a business trip, an extended family visit or a relaxed holiday.
Other reasons might be that you need to stay at the hospital or you're having work done in your house that distresses your dog. Whatever the reason, you can count on your Pawshake petsitter!
Your dog will thank you for it: As opposed to a kennel, you can chose the perfect match for your dog. He wants a play mate, but not be overwhelmed by dozens of dogs coming and going at a kennel? Pick a host family who has a social dog. Your dog doesn’t get along with other dogs? You can find a host family who doesn’t have a dog of their own.
Special needs? No problem! Home boarding offers a loving, fun and safe environment where all your furry friend's needs are taken into account. The right dog sitter is the best option for any dog, even those with special needs.
Free Meet & Greet: The first step is to search for a host in your area who suits your needs and is available. Contact them and arrange a Meet & Greet so you can get to know each other and introduce any resident dogs of the host family safely to your dog. You can even do a short trial stay.
Pay through Pawshake: If you all get along well, book and pay safely via Pawshake. Be sure to make precise agreements about anything that is of importance to you or your dog.
