Hey, my name is Alex and I'm a 32 year old Belgian-English freelance writer living in Schaerbeek - the best commune woop woop! 

I'm a trustworthy, responsible, but also fun and chilled petsitter option for your pets. I'm quite used to different animals and their varying personalities and needs as I grew up with 4 cats, a few birds, some fish, numerous guinea pigs, a bunny and a chipmunk. Summers were even crazier as my mum used to take in all the pets of family friends going away on holiday!

Anyways, now I'm available to take care of your pets with the same love and attention I always took care of my own :) I'm highly motivated and always looking to meet new people/pets. So far I've been on Pawshake for 4 years and have absolutely loved getting to meet so many awesome pets and people :)

House visits usually last around 45 mins to one hour as do dog walks but of course I'm happy to tailor anything to you and your pets' particular needs! Feeding, cleaning, watering, stroking and playing are of course guaranteed :D While I'm with your pet I'll send you an update on how they're doing as well as some photos and short videos. Please do let me know in advance if they'd need any medication - I have given oral pills to some pets before but that's about it so far!

Housesitting allows me to take care of your pet in their home environment for as long as you need :) As always, I try and stick to their normal routine and make sure they feel safe and comfortable with me being around. Aside from playing with and looking after them, I am more than happy to water plants, collect mail, etc - really I'm there to make your life as easy as possible! I'm a very chill and uncomplicated person who leaves your house exactly as you left it and tries to follow instructions as closely as possible :D

When they stay at ours, we of course try and make them feel comfortable, safe and at home as soon possible. They usually relax quite quickly - it's lovely seeing them enjoy themselves in a new environment! They can really go wherever they want in the apartment and sleep in our bed if they feel like it :D as we live very near to Josephat, the dogs always love exploring its paths, woods and play areas.

As I'm a freelance writer I'm very flexible and can pretty much work around whatever works best for you timewise - morning, afternoon, evening, night - all's good for me :D 

Petsitting fits perfectly with my lifestyle: never a dull time and constantly doing something new :)
