Ciao 😄 I'm Matteo, italian 🇮🇹creative worker for the European Parliament who can fluently speak in Français, Español, English, a bit of Euskera for fun (my amazing partner Idoia is from Bilbao and if you fancy also Napulitan, being born and raised in the beautiful Napoli bay 🌊🌋☀️

😁✌️About me:

I'm what EU-bubble folks would define: a "young professional long-standing expat” 😅 that is, in simple English, I've lived 32 springs, of which the last 10 in Brussels. Aged 20 I left Naples to study abroad, doing 1 year Erasmus in Paris Sciences Po, then took a gap year to work as an au-pair babysitter in London before doing a 2years Master in Political communication at the Université Libre de Bruxelles (not missing the chance to spend also a semester in Canada, at the University of Montreal). I've been working as a communication officer at the European Parliament since January 2016 and since then properly settled in the capital of Europe.

🐶😻Why am I here on Paw Shake?

Well, it's pretty straight forward: As a former dog owner I've grown up with dogs and I just love them!

First Junior, a rescued Dalmata joined our family in Naples in 2004, then Kymé and Bayòs, 2 Alsacian shepherds stayed with us until 2012 before being poisoned by creatures that I would not define humans who were trying to rob our house. After that our family was traumatised and we weren't able to welcome other dog members with us.

Having traveled a lot during the past 15 years, I was never able to get a dog as an adult. For working reasons both my partner and I currently travel to Strasbourg once per month and unfortunately I am not allowed to have pets by my current landlords: that's why I am here on PawShake!

I have plenty of love to give to your dog. I also love cats 🐈 and enjoy their company but I never had experience with them, although I'm a quite sensitive person, so I would love to learn to communicate with cats as well.

I consequently turned here to Paw Shake to have the chance to spend quality time with pets and express the love I am willing and in need to give.

🧐Why would you trust me?

Because of course before trusting me with your loved pet we would meet for the first time in a place that makes you feel comfortable and you'll have the opportunity to evaluate by yourself how reliable and caring I am.

On top of that, FYI all employees of the European Parliament 🇪🇺need to go through a severe background check, so you'll know for sure I'm not a criminal 😂
