About Me

Hi there! I'm Chaanah, a 29-year-old originally from Malta. I've been surrounded by various pets since I was a baby, ranging from big dogs to small dogs, cats, birds, fish, hamsters, and even hedgehogs, most of which were rescues.
When I moved to Leuven during a Covid lockdown, I had to live in a student apartment that didn't allow pets. It was one of the first times I didn't have a pet by my side, and it turned out to be quite a challenging
period. To fill that void, I started caring for a collection of plants, which I now affectionately call my "plant babies."

 My Current Home

Today, I live in Heverlee, Leuven, in a welcoming house with a big, affectionate Galgo and a chonky cat, both of them rescue animals. While they're not technically my pets, I play a significant role in their care, especially
when their owners (my housemates) are at work or away.

  Collaboration for Continuous Care

I also collaborate with another dedicated pet sitter, (https://en.pawshake.be/sitter/EU_wYTwyS1lhR4), to ensure that there's always a reliable alternative whenever I'm unable to care for your beloved pets. This partnership ensures continuous care and attention under any circumstances.

 Passion for Animals

In the past year, I've been actively involved with Pawshake bookings, gaining experience in caring for dogs with various personalities and needs. Every interaction with these lovely animals deepens my passion for providing
top-notch care.

Languages and Transportation

I am fluent in English, Maltese, and Italian, and I have a basic understanding of Dutch and French. I also own a motorbike, allowing me to extend my services to people in Leuven and nearby areas. We can discuss transportation costs during the meeting.  

Services Offered

Here are the services I offer:

1. Dog Walking: I prefer to do a trial walk with your dog to ensure compatibility and understand your pet's specific needs. Normally a walk lasts from 30-60 minutes.

2. House Visits: These visits typically last 1-3 hours each, but we can make alternative arrangements for longer visits.

3. Doggy Day Care: I live in a house with four other people, a cat (usually confined to the upper part of the house), and a dog with access to the lower part, including the fully-fenced garden. An initial meet-up is necessary to see if your pet is comfortable in this environment. You can find photos of the area dedicated to Doggy Day Care in my gallery. This service is available for up to 8 hours, Should you require extended hours, I offer flexibility at a nominal fee of 3 euros per additional hour. There is a 50% off if your dog only requires max 2hrs doggy day care.

4. Dog Sitting: Comparable to Doggy Day Care, an initial meeting will be arranged to assess compatibility with your pet. Discounts may be applicable based on the required services:

- A 15% discount for dogs located within 5km of my Heverlee residence or those requiring solely nighttime companionship (20% if both conditions are met).

- A 10% discount for dogs not in need of a walk.
