I grew up with both dogs and cats, and animals have always been part of my life. I've owned and cared for dogs for many years, including my Border Collie, Jones. I'm familiar with the daily responsibilities of caring for animals, from exercise and feeding to understanding their behaviour and individual needs. Dog walking I offer walks ranging from 20 minutes to 2 hours, depending on your dog's age, fitness, temperament and your preferences. I'm comfortable with both brisk, energetic walks and slower, more relaxed outings with plenty of time to sniff and explore. I live close to the greener, more natural areas of Ghent, with access to walking routes and enclosed dog parks. I can adapt the route, pace and level of freedom to your instructions. Some dogs need to stay on a short lead, while others can enjoy more freedom on a longer lead or, where permitted and safe, off-lead exercise in secure areas. I will never let your dog off the lead without your explicit permission. Cat sitting and home visits I also offer home visits for cats and dogs. These can include feeding, refreshing water, cleaning litter trays, short walks, playtime and companionship. I'll follow your usual feeding schedules and routines, including any specific instructions regarding medication or behaviour. Doggy day care For day care, I aim to provide a balance of exercise, attention and rest, adapted to your dog's normal routine. We can agree beforehand on walking frequency, duration, feeding arrangements and any special requirements. I prefer caring for a small number of animals so I can give them proper individual attention. My approach I believe in clear communication with owners. Before the first booking, I'd like to know about your pet's temperament, health, recall, behaviour around other animals and any particular needs or restrictions. I'm physically active and enjoy spending time outdoors in all weather conditions. Whether your dog needs a two-hour adventure, a gentle 20-minute stroll or simply some company, I'm happy to adapt. My priority is always your animal's safety, comfort and well-being.
