Heyy everyone!! 🐾 I’m İlayda, an international master’s student living in Belgium, and a huuuge animal lover! I grew up with a rather unusual selection of pets, including parakeets, turtles, ducks, chicks, rabbits, and quails, so caring for animals has always been a big part of my life. Five years ago, I adopted my cat, Venüs, which kind of completed my life. I also regularly looked/ look after my brother’s dog, Ejder, from the time he was a little puppy. Since my brother often travelled, I took care of him multiple times. Ejder had a difficult past and needed extra patience and reassurance, which taught me how important it is to help anxious pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I understand that every pet has their own personality, routine, and needs, and I’m always happy to adapt my care accordingly. Depending on the service, I can help with feeding, fresh water (always), playtime, companionship, litter cleaning, and dog walks. I’m happy to discuss walk duration and suitable routes depending on your dog’s energy level, age, and needs. I can also follow your pet’s usual routine as closely as possible to help them feel relaxed while you’re away. As I live alone in Belgium, away from my family, I really miss having animals around, which is one of the reasons I decided to become a pet sitter. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and would treat your little friends with the same affection, patience, and respect I give my own cat. I’m generally very flexible, as I only have classes on Mondays and Tuesdays, and I’m happy to arrange visits and care around your schedule. I always aim to provide attentive, responsible care and follow your instructions carefully. If your pet is shy or anxious, I’ll give them time to adjust and approach them gently, without forcing interaction. I’m also happy to discuss any special requirements, including medication routines, before accepting a booking, so we can make sure I’m comfortable providing the care your pet needs. One important detail about my home is that my windows don’t have protective cat screens, so I’d want to discuss safety carefully before hosting any cats. Your pet’s well-being will always come first!
