Personal information:

Hi, my name is Laura and I am an 23 years old student.

I own a cat and a dog.

I speak Dutch, French and English. (A bit of Spanish too but I still have a lot of work)

My animals:

I adopted my dog in 2021 when she was 2 to 5 years old. When she came to us, she was very thin, poorly treated, and scared of everything and everyone. I had to gain her trust and help her regain trust in herself. She was also very reactive towards other dogs and other kinds of animals, as well as sometimes with people. She never played, and it seemed like all her character had been shattered. I worked with her, gave her all the love, attention, and trust she needed, and now she is a very happy, loving, and joyful dog. Her behavior towards animals and people has improved significantly! Everyone always says that she looks like a completely new dog :)

I also own a cat who I take a lot of cute little naps with.

A little bit more information about myself:

As for the rest; I love all kind of animals, I’ve done horse riding, I’ve always been the kid that was around animals, or the kid that when there was a family/friend party skipped the older people to go straight to the animals.

some volunteering with animals:

I’ve done 6months of volunteering in Costa Rica and Mexico with animals.

First, in Costa Rica with dogs and cats in a local shelter, then I worked with native wildlife animals from Costa Rica, and as last with sea turtles.

I had the chance to work with plenty kinds of animals, dogs and cats, monkeys, parrots, raccoons, owls, turtles, horses, toucans, sloths, opossums,...

As for Mexico I worked a month in a ranch. There were dogs, cats, horses, goats, ducks…

Now I'm doing an internship on farm to work with children. ( I'm studying orthopedagogie)

My work hours:

It all depends on school!

It also depends on what kind of task I have to do with the animals and how long, so I can only answer this question when it gets asked.

But I'm available in the weekend!

Of course, I sometimes have some personal stuff to do as well.

I can brush, clean, maybe give a trim ( I've never followed a course but I do It with my dog).

I have experience with animal behavior as my dog was abused when I had her and I worked with a pitbull who was abused aswell.

I can go for 10mins walks or 2-3 hours if your dog need it. And if I have time, I don't mind to walk a whole day in the woods!

I can water your plants if I need to or do little tasks. I don't really mind.

I can stay at your place, but dogs can't come to mine as my dog can be reactive towards others.
