Hi 👋🏾 Welcome to a life with me & my furry friends 🐾 My name is Audrey, i’m 23, i live in Brussels and believe it or not, i’ve been petsitting for over 10 years now.
My first petsitting experience was when I went to Congo when I was 11. My cousin was leaving the country so I had to take care of her dog, Rex. I like to think of him as my first pet. In Congo, it’s customary for a dog to sleep outside but I left the door open, fully knowing Rex would come cuddle with me in my bed. I may or may not have let all the mosquitoes in and got yelled at by my entire family but it was totally worth it for a night of the sweetest cuddles ever. This prompted me to start petsitting in my neighbourhood!
In my family, i’m known as the animal lover. I had a bunny when I was 3, got a few hamsters when I was 12 and finally got my own dog on my 16th birthday - Enzo. Sadly, I had to relocate him after my mom died a few years later and I had to move to an appartment. He was a Jack Russell & needed a lot more space than I had so I had to relocate him to a very nice owner with a huge farm. He’s living his best puppy life over there. Losing him made me realise even more how much I valued animal life so shortly after that, I completely stopped eating meat.
A year later, I got the chance to adopt and foster two kittens. I adopted Numi & fostered Zuri for 3 months, he already had an owner but he stayed with me & his brother first, preparing him for his new family. Giving up Zuri was hard but I am luckily still in contact with his owner so we still see him regularly and he even comes over when I need to catsit. Right after that, I could tell how lonely Numi got, so I decided to adopt and foster two more kittens just a few months later, siblings once again. Zoya was supposed to be the cat I kept & Pirate was supposed to leave after 3 months as well. I decided it was too hard this time around & ended up keeping Pirate. He is now known as my foster fail & I have never been this happy to fail at something! My cat Zoya is named after my dog Enzo, because not only does she have a little of his colour in her fur, she also resembles him in personality so he always feels close to me. 🥰
I catsit and dogwalk in & around my appartment building but I wanted to come back to Pawshake after all these years because I can’t think of a better way to make a living than to spend my time with little fur babies. I’ve only gotten positive reviews and that is mainly because I will care for your babies like they are my own & follow your instructions perfectly. You can trust me with your furry friends 🐾
I’ll let the pictures speak for theirselves 🫶🏾
