Hi! My name is Patricie, I am an international student and I came to Belgium about a year ago. I have a dog of my own back home in the Czech Republic, called Archie, and I absolutely love spending time with him. We used to go on long walks together and those moments have always been some of my favourite parts of the day. Since I don't get to spend as much time with him now, I really miss having a dog by my side and would love the opportunity to share that love and attention with other dogs. I've also looked after my neighbours' and my aunt's dogs quite a few times. I've never done it professionally or for money, but I've always been happy to help because I genuinely enjoy being around dogs. For me, it's not really about earning money but more about getting to spend time with them, give them attention and make sure they're happy. I'd love to take your dog for nice walks, play with them, keep them company or simply make sure they feel comfortable and safe while you're away. I know every dog has their own personality and routine, so I'm happy to adapt to whatever works best for them. Walks and locations I usually enjoy longer walks of around 30–60 minutes, depending on the dog's age, energy and needs. I live close to several lovely green spaces in Antwerp, including Nachtegalenpark, the dog-friendly off-leash area near Eglantierlaan, Harmoniepark, Domein Hertoghe and Hof Van Leysen. I've mostly explored these parks on my own so far and I'd love to discover them with a four-legged companion! Availability My student schedule changes from week to week, so my weekday availability isn't always the same. However, I'm always available on weekends for morning and afternoon walks. During the week, it depends on my classes, but I'm happy to organise my schedule in advance. If there's a dog waiting for a walk, I'll always do my best to find the time! Safety and emergencies Your dog's safety is always my priority. I prefer to look after one dog at a time unless I'm comfortable with the owner's specific arrangements, so I can give them my full attention. I always follow the owner's instructions regarding walking routes, feeding, behaviour and whether off-leash time is allowed. I wouldn't let a dog off the leash without the owner's permission. I'm also a medical professional and hold a first aid certificate for humans. While I understand that animal first aid is different, I'm comfortable staying calm and acting responsibly in unexpected situations. In an emergency, I would contact you immediately, seek veterinary assistance and follow the vet's instructions. I'm responsible, caring and patient, and I'd treat your dog with the same love and attention I give my own Archie. I'd be really happy to meet your little (or big!) furry friend!
