Sofia

Hi! I'm Sofia, originally from Mexico but living in Antwerp for a year now.

I always grew up with dogs at home, which is why I have such a huge love for them and really see how they are an essential element in a family. We have Ziggy back home, a stray dog who we rescued from the streets, but she had to stay with my parents and unfortunately couldn't come with me to Belgium (my dad would be truly devastated without her).

I miss her terribly and have been persuading my partner into getting a dog (or cat) of our own, but he never grew up close with pets and still needs some time to adapt to the idea. Because of this, I figured petsitting would be the best option for me so I could fulfill my need to be close to animals while helping someone else with taking care of their pets. I know how demanding they can be!

I have a life long experience with taking care of dogs of (almost) all sizes. Throughout my life we had dogs as small as a Dachshund and as big as an energetic playful Labrador, so I've had my fair share of experience with dealing with different kinds of energy and special needs (our previous dog had an illness for the last 2 years of her life and thus had to take medication regularly).

Although I only grew up with dogs around, I am also a huge fan of cats and birds and would be more than happy to have opportunities to be around them as well.

As I mentioned, my partner isn't ready to have pets yet, which is why I'm not currently able to take any into my home. I am however available to take them for walks or play with them outside, or even come over at your home to take care of them while you are busy.
