Hi, I'm Seraina!

Animals have been my passion for as long as I can remember. I grew up in a family dedicated to rescuing animals, and over the years we've welcomed many dogs and cats who simply needed a second chance. Living in Congo, Ivory Coast, South Africa, Madagascar, and now Belgium has allowed me to care for animals with many different personalities, temperaments, and needs.

My journey began in Congo, where we rescued one of our first dogs after learning she would not survive unless someone adopted her. She became a cherished member of our family and later moved with us to Ivory Coast alongside our Boerboel. Over the years, we rescued several more dogs and cats, including a few who wandered onto our beach property looking for food and safety.

One rescue, a little Chihuahua named Fientje, became my soulmate. She travelled with me through Ivory Coast, South Africa, Madagascar, and even Belgium. Giving her the loving life she deserved remains one of the greatest joys of my life and strengthened my belief that every animal deserves patience, kindness, and unconditional love.

I moved to Belgium last year, and for the first time in my life I don't have any pets of my own. I truly miss the companionship, happiness, and unconditional love that animals bring to everyday life. That's why I joined Pawshake—to spend time doing something I genuinely love while giving pet owners peace of mind that their furry family members are in safe and caring hands.

What you can expect when your pet stays with me:

• I follow your pet's usual routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, medication (if required), and bedtime routines.

• Dogs receive 1–2 walks per day, typically 30–60 minutes each, depending on their age, energy level, and your preferences. I'm also happy to provide extra playtime and enrichment for more active dogs.

• Your pet will receive plenty of attention, affection, and supervised play throughout the day. I rarely leave pets alone for longer than 2–3 hours, and if I need to step out, it is only for a short period.

• I understand that every pet is unique. Whether your companion is energetic, shy, elderly, or experiencing their first stay away from home, I take the time to earn their trust and ensure they feel safe and comfortable.

• Your pet's health and safety are always my highest priority. If an emergency were ever to arise, I would contact you immediately and seek veterinary care if necessary.

For the wellbeing of all animals in my care, I only accept vaccinated pets into my home.

My goal is simple: to make your pet feel as loved, comfortable, and secure as they do with you. I will care for them as if they were my own, giving them the patience, attention, and affection they deserve.
