Top cities for house sitting in Belgium

Are you going away but have a pet that prefers to stay in their own environment? Or perhaps you have a range of different animals and it’s not practical for you to organise for them to stay in different places? Then you might want to consider finding a Pawshake house sitter to come and stay at your Ixelles home while you are away.

House sitting is a convenient and affordable option when you have multiple pets and also want your house to be securely looked after while you are away. Many of our pet sitters have very reasonable house sitting rates because they enjoy staying and exploring different local neighbourhoods like Ixelles.

At Pawshake, we understand that trusting your home to a stranger can be a little daunting. So we’ve done all the hard work to ensure that your Pawshake house sitter is trustworthy and reliable. All our pet sitter profiles are checked individually by our dedicated trust and safety team and some house sitters also have their own police checks which they can share with you.

The best thing about engaging a Pawshake verified house sitter is that you can relax knowing that on top of being covered by The Pawshake Guarantee which includes veterinary coverage, so your pets are being cared for in a familiar environment and your Ixelles home is also being looked after as well.

In addition to looking after your pets, most of our house sitters will happily help you by collecting your mail, taking out the bins, and watering your plants. Just make sure you discuss all your requirements with your chosen house sitter prior to booking.

Hi, I'm Chibuye -Bella, a Dutchie with a deep love for cats! Though I've recently settled back in Brussels, I currently travel too much to have a cat of my own. I'm also a clean and tidy person who values a quiet, comfortable home—it's a sacred space I maintain for you, your cat, and myself. Rest assured, your feline friend will be in loving hands in a peaceful environment!
I have several years of experience cat-sitting for close friends and even senior colleagues. Over the last three summers, I’ve been entrusted with the care of a variety of cats, ranging from playful kittens to calm senior cats. In addition to cat care, I’ve also been entrusted to take care of three homes for extended periods, including up to three weeks. During these stays, I’ve made sure to maintain a clean, comfortable environment, ensuring the home remains as peaceful and welcoming as when it was left. My experience includes keeping cats happy, fed, and entertained, while also respecting the homeowner’s space, keeping it tidy and secure. I treat every home and cat as if they were my own, providing both with the utmost care and attention.
I am a big fan of garfield cats :) but certainly do not discriminate !

Ever since I was a little girl, when asked, "what is your favourite animal?" the answer has always been dogs. My love for dogs extends beyond just liking them because they're cute, but I often have a strong intuitive connection to these animals. Most dogs I meet I instantly form a relation with them, it is an intuitive mutual understanding in some way. In the past, I have done a lot of babysitting for children which has often included dog sitting simultaneously. I enjoy spending time with dogs very much and find it very fulfilling to connect and play with them. I am a very easy going, relaxed, approachable, and most importantly, joyful and positive person. This is why I feel I connect well with dogs, I believe they can sense my energy and feel safe in my presence. I am used to handling responsibility in my life, it is a pleasure to help you and your lovely pooch!
My services are: dog walking, dog sitting (at the owners house) which includes playing with the dogs, feeding, and open to discuss any specific requests. For dog sitting at your home, I can also water plants, collect mail, administer medication, groom the pets etc. I am flexible with my time to stay several hours at the house.
I can look after up to 4 dogs. Willing to walk up to 1h30. I can offer 2 walks per day.
I can be flexible with availability, ideally during working hours and early evening unless night sitting - but open to discuss specific requests. I am currently working from home. I can supervise pets attentively.

I am 31 year old ant-keeper who lives in Saint Gilles. I love spending time with animals. We don't have a pet roommate but just yet. However, my wife and I very frequently pet sit our friends/colleagues pets. I see them as a friend like it is written in the headline. I respect and strictly follow the rules (it is a reflex for me due to my profession ). In addition, I am totally okey with bird, bug, reptile, etc. sitting as well. But of course I am only okey for pets that are legally allowed.I can homesit friday evening (after 18:00) and whole weekends. Same is valid for home visits for both 1 and 2 times and dog walks. In addition, I can home visit once and dog walk once on week-days after 18:00. Week-days are blocked in my schedule. Please contact me so I can make a gap for you if we both agree on date. If you have more questions please do not hesitate to send me a message.
