Top cities for house sitting in Belgium

Are you going away but have a pet that prefers to stay in their own environment? Or perhaps you have a range of different animals and it’s not practical for you to organise for them to stay in different places? Then you might want to consider finding a Pawshake house sitter to come and stay at your Hamont-Achel home while you are away.

House sitting is a convenient and affordable option when you have multiple pets and also want your house to be securely looked after while you are away. Many of our pet sitters have very reasonable house sitting rates because they enjoy staying and exploring different local neighbourhoods like Hamont-Achel.

At Pawshake, we understand that trusting your home to a stranger can be a little daunting. So we’ve done all the hard work to ensure that your Pawshake house sitter is trustworthy and reliable. All our pet sitter profiles are checked individually by our dedicated trust and safety team and some house sitters also have their own police checks which they can share with you.

The best thing about engaging a Pawshake verified house sitter is that you can relax knowing that on top of being covered by The Pawshake Guarantee which includes veterinary coverage, so your pets are being cared for in a familiar environment and your Hamont-Achel home is also being looked after as well.

In addition to looking after your pets, most of our house sitters will happily help you by collecting your mail, taking out the bins, and watering your plants. Just make sure you discuss all your requirements with your chosen house sitter prior to booking.

Hey there! I’m a dedicated dog lover and an experienced pet sitter with 3+ years of hands-on care. I primarily care for dogs of all sizes and energy levels, from small companion breeds to larger, high-energy dogs, and I focus on building trust so each dog feels safe, relaxed, and well cared for while you’re away.
I’m very routine-oriented because dogs thrive on consistency. I follow your usual schedule closely, including:

Feeding routines (exact portions, timing, fresh water, and any dietary rules)
Walk schedules and exercise needs (short sniff walks, longer structured walks, or play-based exercise)
Play and enrichment (fetch, tug, puzzle toys, basic training games, depending on what your dog enjoys)
Home routines (sleeping spot, house rules like furniture access, crate use if applicable)

I’m comfortable adapting to different personalities. For social, playful dogs, I provide plenty of interaction and structured play. For shy, anxious, or easily overstimulated dogs, I take a calm, patient approach moving at their pace, using positive reinforcement, and giving them space when needed. I also have experience with strong pullers and energetic walkers, and I keep walks safe and controlled.
Safety is a priority for me during every visit and walk. I:

Confirm harness fit before going out and avoid off-leash areas unless you explicitly request it
Watch closely for triggers (other dogs/cats, bikes, loud areas) and choose calmer routes when helpful
Keep doors and gates secured and follow your entry/exit routine to prevent escapes
Share updates with you (photos/messages) so you feel confident your dog is doing well

If you’re looking for a sitter who combines warmth with reliable structure, and who will treat your dog with genuine care and attention, I’d be happy to help.

I’ve loved and cared for animals since I was a kid. I recently moved to the Netherlands and, since I travel a lot and live between countries, I can't have my own pet right now. That’s why pet sitting is the perfect way for me to share my love for animals! I live in Geldrop and work in Tempel, Eindhoven. My work schedule changes every week on a rotating basis, which actually gives me a lot of flexible free time during the week to hang out, play, and take your dogs for long walks.I’m highly experienced with both cats and dogs—I always look after my friends' pets when they travel. I’m also on TrustedHousesitters with great reviews, so you can be sure your home and your best friend are in safe hands.Whether your pet needs feeding, a long walk, or just some good company while you're away, I'm here to help! I can't wait to meet your furry friend.

I’ve loved animals since I was a child and grew up surrounded by them—dogs, cats, and years of horseback riding. Caring for animals has always been second nature to me, and I treat them as if they were my own.
Although I don’t have a pet at the moment due to space and responsibility, I truly miss being around them. That’s why I would love to take care of yours! Whether it’s pet sitting or dog walking, I’m happy to help.
I have experience from my time in Portugal, where I regularly did pet sitting and dog walking. I understand the importance of trust, patience, and attention when caring for someone’s beloved pet. Whether your furry friend needs playtime, cuddles, or just a relaxing walk, I’ll make sure they feel safe and happy.
I’d love to meet your pet and help however I can!
