Ik stel me graag even voor omdat het toch wel heel belangrijk is te weten waar en bij wie je huisdier met plezier zal opgevangen worden. Ik ben Machteld, 60 jaar en werk nog enkele uren als administratief bediende van thuis uit voor mijn echtgenoot. Spijtig genoeg heb ik recent heel weinig tijd over en beperk ik mij tot mijn vaste lieverd(s) en sporadisch tot een nieuwe hond indien zeer dicht in mijn buurt. Ik hoop in de nabije toekomst mijn diensten terug te kunnen uitbreiden maar hou mijn profiel dus nu enkel actief om heel af en toe in de buurt iemand uit de nood te kunnen helpen!
Voorheen werkte ik als kinesitherapeute (steeds sportief geweest), en als verpleegkundige (omgeschoold). Ik wandel veel en graag en dit in combinatie met mijn grote dierenliefde leek het me zinvol om mezelf in te schrijven bij Pawshake. Zelf heb ik tijdens onze vakanties al kunnen rekenen op super gemotiveerde hondenoppassers en dan kreeg ik zin om dit ook wel te doen. Ik maak ook dagelijks lange wandelingen met onze border, Raika (teefje van 6,5 jaar). 3 jaar geleden heeft ons gezin moeten afscheid nemen van onze grote schat Hera, een golden retriever van 13 jaar. Raika is het dus steeds gewoon geweest om met een ander hond rekening te houden.  Ook met onze kater Tijger klikt het zeer goed, soms is het hier echt "love is in the air" Ik pas soms ook op de hondjes van de dochter en zus, hun hondjes zijn hier ook al voor langere periodes komen logeren.
Raika is sociaal opgevoed en kan goed opschieten met andere honden zonder dominant te zijn. Ook onze poes went vlot aan nieuwe dieren in ons gezin. Ik bied dus graag wandelingen aan alsook een bezoek aan huis. Wij wonen in Mortsel (grens Berchem, Deurne) en in de buurt zijn wel mooie wandelingen te maken maar ik kan eventueel ook gaan wandelen in de natuur op verplaatsing...
Ik bied dus graag wandelingen aan van een half uur of langer, afhankelijk van wat het baasje graag heeft. Dit is mijn belangrijkste doelstelling. Ik hoop voor iemand van dienst te zijn en graag zou ik dan kennis maken met baasje en hond om te zien of de wensen en het aanbod voor beide partijen overeen stemmen.
Omdat ik het belangrijk vind dat uw hond mijn volledige aandacht krijgt hou ik mijn agenda vrij voor telkens maar 1 hond. Een puppy is geen probleem, ik heb zeker de nodige ervaring opgedaan om op een correcte wijze met een puppy om te gaan. Ook oudere honden die het wat rustiger aan willen doen zijn van harte welkom. Voor de actievere hond kan ik aan de leiband wandelen op een vlot tempo, en indien gewenst kan ik in onze tuin (deze is niet groot maar volledig omheind en ruim genoeg om trekspelletjes en andere spelletjes met mentale uitdaging te voorzien) zorgen dat er voldoende activiteiten zijn.

I'm Priscila, an Argentinian girl who moved to Antwerp two years ago. I arrived to Belgium in 2020 and I miss my dog very much. In Argentina, I have a dog called Mara. Unfortunately, she can't join me :(

I speak Spanish, English and some French. And I'm trying to learn some Dutch/Flemish, but it's really difficult.

I’m currently studying business administration (almost finished) and I play field hockey at Royal Antwerp Hockey Club. I have a lot of free time and I would like to share this time with animals. 

I found this site three years ago and it is what I was looking for! Take care of animals and share my love with them. I'm an animal lover, all kinds of animals! 

I know it might be hard to leave your pets with a stranger, at least it would be really hard for me, but I can assure you that I will take care of them as if they were my own.

I’m Julie Wolters, 26 years old, and I’ve been living in Antwerp for about a year now. I grew up with dogs (Labradors), and my parents just got a one-year-old Labrador. Now that I’m living on my own, I really miss having a dog around and going for walks, being a total dog lover. That’s why I joined this app – I’d love to dog-sit!
I can take care of your dog at my place and go for walks, or at your home if that’s easier for you. I have a flexible job where I can work from pretty much anywhere, so I’m super flexible with time. I also have flexible hours, which makes it easy to take the dog out for regular walks.
I live in an 80-square-meter apartment where the dog can roam freely. I don’t have a balcony or garden, but I can walk the dog often, and there’s a park nearby which is perfect.
I’ve got experience with big dogs (Labradors, Golden Retrievers) and smaller ones (Dachshunds, Cocker Spaniels). I also dog-sit for my neighbor’s Dachshund here in Antwerp quite a bit.

I’m really excited about the idea of again walking a dog in the park! Hopefully, there’ll be a furry friend hanging out with me soon while you enjoy your holiday.
