Sometimes life can get really busy and you might find yourself a little short on time to walk your dog. Luckily with Pawshake, it is really easy to connect with thousands of pet lovers and find a walker in Hoeilaart who is available and waiting to help you out.

All of our walkers are vetted individually and every dog walker booking is covered by The Pawshake Guarantee so you can rest easy while they spend time with your dog. Additionally, your Pawshake walker will be from your local Hoeilaart neighbourhood and their profile also includes reviews from other pet parents.

Having a dog walker visit during the day is an affordable and great way to break up the day and make your dog’s day more interesting. Some of our walkers walk multiple dogs at once so this service is a great way for your dog to socialise and meet other similar dogs. However, if your dog prefers to be walked alone, you can also find Hoeilaart dog walkers who only walk one dog at a time. That way, the walks can be completely dedicated to what your dogs want – whether is a slow walk-and-sniff or a faster paced brisk walk around the block, our Pawshake dog walkers will be happy to oblige.

Bonjour,

My name is Alva - I am 25 years old from Norway, currently living in Belgium. I regularly travel to Beauvechain to take care of my horse, so even if my profile shows a maximum distance of 10km, I am often able to go a bit further, especially along that route :-)
I joined the dog-sitting app called "Rover" in 2022, and since then had the pleasure of caring for a wide variety of dogs - something I have enjoyed every second of! Along the way, I have built great relationships with not only the dogs, but also their owners. I am proud to have several returning clients who trust me again, which has allowed me to form strong, lasting connections. Meeting new dogs and making sure they feel happy, safe, and well cared for is always a joy for me.
I am an active person and enjoy running, so I am happy to take high-energy dogs out for a jog. I also offer more relaxed walks through parks, forests, and other places, giving the dogs plenty of time to explore their surroundings.
If you have any questions or would like to learn more about my experience, feel free to send me a message!

My name is Julia, and my love for animals has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I have hands-on experience caring for pets, having owned two dogs and two cats, which taught me patience, responsibility, and how to adapt to each animal’s unique personality and needs.

As a pet sitter, I provide daily feeding, fresh water, walks, playtime, companionship, and lots of affection. I am attentive to routines and make sure pets feel comfortable and secure, whether they are energetic, shy, or need a calm environment. I am also happy to follow specific instructions, including special diets, medication schedules, or individual care preferences.

Safety is very important to me. Since my yard is not fully fenced, dogs are always supervised and kept on a leash during outdoor time, ensuring their well-being at all times. I am reliable, caring, and very flexible with my schedule, allowing me to adapt easily to different pets and owners’ needs. My goal is to create a safe, loving, and stress-free environment so both pets and owners feel at ease.

Hi! Well, what can I say? I simply love being around animals in general. I've had two dogs growing up and one of my dreams from childhood was to have a refugee full of them. This has (still) not occured, though. In 2014 while travelling in Peru, I adopted a puppy and went with him all over. We shared boat, bus and truck rides and eventually got back together to my home country, Argentina. In 2016 I went to Ecuador stayed there. My dog, Huayro is now part of my parent's household. I've always felt a bit of a need to be around dogs whenever there was a chance, after that. Now, I am living in Brussels with Nina, my Ecuatorian cat. Spend time with dogs and plus, get some money out of it? I'm in! Just recently I began to walk two dogs in the city of Maastricht and today I discovered this site, and I just think it is amazing to be able to provide such a reciprocal service for another person. Let's get in contact and see if we are a good match with your dogs! I believe in creating a nice bond with them and I understand the need of their humans to feel confident about the person who will be walking and taking care of them.I have experience taking care of friend's dogs when they've had the need to, staying over at their places mainly. Also, having had my fair share of solo backpacking travelling through South America, I've had the chance to meet and bond with many dogs (in Argentina, Bolivia and Peru it's normal to find free dogs roaming around the small towns). One crazy story: in 2012 I was in a small town in the mountains called San Isidro de Iruya I had to make my way back to the main town, which was 2 or 3 hours down the valley and at this point, the river had grown quite a bit and to reach my destination, I had to cross it many times. There was no way around this and felt almost and impossible task. A german Shepard kind of dog had been following me around this town since I arrived and when he saw me leaving, came along with me. When the dog realized my hesitation to cross the river, he simply walked towards the water and signaled me where I should place each of my steps on the firm rocks which were invisible under the stream of water. With this dog's aid I crossed the river multiple times and got to my destination safely.
