Who am I?

I'm an experienced owner with a young street dog (born Oct 2020), who I adopted from Thailand in May 2021. I previously owned two rescue dogs from the Middle East with my former partner, and I have looked after several other dogs belonging to my friends. I live alone and work as a journalist in the EU area. I enjoy long-distance running, especially with dogs.

Why am I on here?

Because I enjoy looking after dogs! It's also good to socialise my own dog with others, and get her used to sharing space.

When am I available?

I have a preference for weekends as I work during the week. Tuesdays are completely unavailable as I work from the office then. I'll consider other weekdays but probably only for dogs I already know.

What do I offer?

On weekends, I'll spend most of the day with the dog including at least one long walk or run (if you tell me that's OK) in Bois de la Cambre. I can also do socialising with other dogs and some basic training. On weekdays, I do two short walks and a longer one in the evening.

Where do I live?

In a big apartment (120 sq m) near Flagey. It has a large balcony, a dog-friendly sofa and plenty of blankets and cushions, and a big separate kitchen in case the dog needs to spend some time alone.

What experience do I have?

I currently own a street dog from Thailand who I adopted when she was 7 months old. I previously had two mixed-breed sighthounds from the Middle East for about two years with a former partner. One of those dogs started out very timid, so I also have experience in how to respond to that and how to socialise a more sensitive dog. I have also looked after friends' dogs for periods of several days.
