I grew up with dogs in our household, and I really enjoy the company of all quadrupeds.
Our family currently has a 6-year-old Jack Russel-Bulldog mixed breed.

Also whenever other family members or friends with dogs or cats go on holiday, they ask me to take care of their furry friends (Scottish Terriers, Shepherds, and Teckels, as well as different cats of all ages), which I do with pleasure.

I especially like to walk with dogs and take them for a run or play with them in the park. Basically, just watching them interact with the world around them makes me genuinely happy. I want to give the dog the best possible time, and even though I'm not a dog trainer, I have experience in basic behavior training.

Walks are possible around Ghent, in our neighborhood around UZ/Sterre/Strop/Citadelpark, but also further to the north or south. Also, transport is possible by car (either with a box in the back or on the back seat) to walk in other parts of the region, in nature reserves, or along the coast.
For dog daycare, we have an enclosed garden space where the dog can roam free.
Also, other pets are welcome in our house (cats, rodents, or other smaller pets).

Generally, I'm available in the late afternoon/evenings and in the weekend for walks for up to 2 hours (depending on the needs and routine of the dog and its owner).

When doing home visits and house-sitting, which is possible for up to a week consecutively (but also for a few hours), I certainly can also take care of the other living beings in the house (watering the plants, feeding the fish, etc.). I'll make sure to take all the necessary safety precautions specified by the owner (and obviously, leave the place as I found it, also if it means cleaning up after the pets).

Having the chance to walk and spend time with canines while helping their owners out would be a win-win for me.
