My partner and I have recently moved to Belgium on a 12 month working holiday visa, and the hardest part of leaving our home, New Zealand, was leaving behind our beloved family pets!

I grew up with Rottweilers as family pets, and my parents have two currently - they are the loves of my life and the biggest teddy bears I know.

Small town New Zealand exposes you to many types of animals and I was also lucky enough to have two pet goats rescued from the wild, named Mocha and Chino who now live a life of luxury on my parents lifestyle block. My sister and her partner have a dairy farm, where I help out often with milking or during calving (but sometimes get distracted playing with their German Shepherd and two cats).

Although I love cats, I'm a dog person through and through! I have been a pet sitter multiple times for family members and close friends, and am confident around all breeds (if anything, I'm more aware around smaller dogs who tend to have more of an attitude).

If your pet needs attention during the day while you're at work, or taken for a walk to burn energy or to socialise, it would be my privelage!
