Languages spoken

An Italian mother tongue, I have an excellent knowledge of English and French. I can also speak a few words of Dutch (I started a Dutch course last September).  

General Information

Ever since I was a child, I enjoyed the company of animals and have lived with birds, fish, and a pet rabbit. I also spent a year with one of my cousins and took care of his black cat. At present, I live with a friendly neutered male mini schnauzer (my resident pet!) in a flat just in front of the Cinquantenaire Park, in the Etterbeek district. I have no garden but I walk my dog three times a day (one walk is a long one). If you are happy with it, I can bring your dog to the open dogs' area in the Cinquantenaire but your dog will always remain on lead for security reasons.

My daily schedule

I work from home 2/3 times a week and every Friday I telework. Therefore, I am available for Doggy Daycare or Home Boarding for the whole weekend (Friday-Sunday) and bank holidays. When I am on holiday and do not travel, I can board your dog for a week or more. I have previous experience with dog boarding and cat sitting and would be keen on taking care of your dog by having her at my place and walking them to the Cinquantenaire or elsewhere three times a day. The longest walk can be in the morning or the afternoon, as you wish. I always walk the dogs in the evening before they go to bed so that they can sleep peacefully.

Good to know

Please, make sure that your pet has a collar and a harness, too as I will not accept dogs with collars only for safety reasons.

Due to my experience with a cardiopathic dog (my first one), I can administer one or more times a day oral medicines.

I can schedule your dog's grooming appointment and bring him or her to the groomer when given a few week's notice.

I have extra bedding (a medium-sized dog bed cushion and a few blankets), food and water bowls, and plenty of toys, which I am more than willing to share with guest pets. Despite not being a car owner I can get around Brussels and collect/drop off your dog at your place by public transport (I have an annual STIB pass).

I live in a pet-friendly residential building with a lift and a caretaker, who is also a dog owner.

I only take vaccinated pets into my home.

My preferences in terms of guest dogs

I would prefer to board only one small female dog at a time. 

Rules at home

Guest pets are permitted to move all over the flat (kitchen and bathroom included) but cannot sleep on my bed. Instead, they will sleep on their bedding. 

Guest pets can play at home all over the flat.
