Silvija

Hello! My name is Silvija Milosavljevic, and I am a doctoral candidate at University of Gent working in the biology department. I am originally from Serbia, but my studies and work took me abroad several times. Before coming to Gent, I lived in Helsinki (Finland), Uppsala (Sweden) and Zurich (Switzerland). I speak English and Serbian, but also Swedish and Finnish, and I am learning Spanish rapidly right now. 

As a child my parents did not allow pets in the apartment, and I believe having a dog in a small space with limited time for walks and play is never a good idea. However, now I see that I really miss the fun and the affection that dogs can give you, and I would like to have this other family member with me soon. That is why I would like to help out dog owners and get some quality time with the dogs myself. I always wanted to have a pet of my own, so becoming a dog walker and helping the others with their dogs will be a great opportunity for me! My working hours are quite flexible most of the time, so I am happy to go for day walks. 

I have plenty of experience walking the dogs of the Gent animal shelter, so I am gaining experience quickly!
