Hi, I'm Garth. I am 18 years old, and I am part Belgian and part South African. I've lived in Belgium for nearly 9 years now and I live about a 5 min walk from Tervuren park, which is where I normally walk my dogs. I have a medium sized garden and I have 2 small dogs. A toy French poodle named Sophia aged 8 and a Norwich terrier named Felix aged 2.
My whole life I've been growing up with dogs and cat's. When I lived in South Africa, I grew up with 2 cats, 1 large dog and 1 small dog. But since we moved to Belgium, we unfortunately were only allowed to keep our 2 dogs in the place we were originally staying. I have a great understanding on how to look after both large/small dogs and cats. We found out the hard way having a big dog in Belgium is quite a mission especially with all the mud and rain but was a fun learning curve. Our first winter, we had paw tracks dashing through the entire house and my siblings and I would pretend to track them down.
I am available for dog walk everyday day at anytime! I can do around 1-2 dog walks per day for about 30-45 min each. I am student, so I won't be home the whole time. But I do have 4 other people living with me so it will be unlikely the pets would be left home alone. I can board 1-2 dogs as I have 2 dogs of my own and sometimes might be fostering a cat. The only restriction I have is that your dog/s have to be neutured. Other than that no restrictions where your pets will sleep and my backyard is flat, grass and is fully fenced off/secured.
I love looking after dogs and cats, currently I convinced my family to sign up to a cat fostering program where we foster stray cats which I love. For me in the future, I want to own my own pets, as to me this is a basic need like oxygen as I've grown up with dogs and cats my whole life. And this would be a great opportunity for me to learn about new breeds.
I've never owned any exotic pets, but at my school I've had the opportunity to look after the terrapin (cleaning tank and feeding) and the bearded dragon (cleaning and feeding) and I'm always open to new experiences and opportunity's.
I find each pet has their own unique personality, and I'd love to get to know your pet. I will provide them with much love and attention as possible. If you do choose for me to look after your pets, it would be useful for you to bring your own leashes, toys, bowls, and pillows so they have something familiar. but is not necessary as I have a few spare.
If you have any special request or any questions, please contact me :)
I look forward to getting to know your particularly quirky pets!

I am very happy with the way Garth looked after our dog Garry!!! Even when they did not get along with his sweet Felix, Garth has managed to look after them very well. Our overly energetic Jack Russell was getting his long walks and play time with Garth and he was sending updates every day with photos of Garry. I am definitely recommending Garth services and I am sure he will look after your pet as good as possible!
Thank you, Garth!
Garth took great care of my dog Jock, who also got on very well with Garth's other dogs. Garth took them for a walk each day, and Jock seemed very happy in the house.
I will definitely book Garth again for dog sitting!
