Goedadag! Hello! Don't have time today to take your dog for a so much deserved long walk? Feel a bit sick and don't want to get out of the bed? Not a problem! I can help you and your beloved pet! I am Danielė, a student in Master of Sustainable Development at KU Leuven ! I am from Lithuania and I speak Lithuanian, English, Italian, a little bit German and now I am also studying Dutch (so far only A1 level).
I am sure that to arrange a dog walk we will find a way no matter the language differences. And I am sure we won't have translation problems with your pet because I speak dogs' language! I am a huge fan of animals, in particular dogs, cats and horses! I grew up surrounded by pets from the moment I came to this life. My family always had dogs and cats and other pets ( such as chinchilla), and most of my childhood memories are full of moments with them. As I was a child, I do not count those year as experience years, but I consider my experience has started when I was allowed to independently walk our dog and then train him in our garden ( basic commands, like sit, stay, give a pawn=hey, etc.).
When I started my bachelor studies I also started volunteering in the dog shelter “ Penkta koja” ( in english “ Fifth leg” ) in my hometown Kaunas. When I go back home sometimes I join them for longer weekend walks with the dogs. In the shelter I mostly did social activities with the dogs: walking them and playing with them.
When I left my home for studies in Leuven, I had to say goodbye to my four legged friends Una (German shepherd) and Kivis (mixed breed cat) who remained in my home with my family. That is why I am really missing time spent playing, walking and even taking care of the pet ( for example grooming your pet's fur) ! My big German shephard dog is not so friendly with other dogs and she is extremelly strong, so I can handle also not relaxing type of walks and some pulling. Now that the weather is getting even better, I am also up for taking your dogs for longer walks in the forests around Leuven.
I would be willing also to visit your home, feed and walk your dog/cat in case of need. It would depend on my availability and how far do you live.
In case your pet is up for a slow walk due to character or health issues, that is not a problem also, as I am a fan of walking in general. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
I am looking forward to meeting you and your four legged family members :)

Danielė has a real knack for making my stressy dog feel at ease. She's very proactive when it comes to making agreements and asking relevant questions. Exactly the dog sitter we were looking for 😊
Danielė is a fantastic dog walker. Our Willow immediately took to her. Every dog walker we had required a bit of time to get Willow to stop barking and guarding our house. This was not the the case with Danielė. They bonded instantly. She is very kind and gentle with dogs and Willow had a great time with her. I can only recommend Danielė to any pet owner who wants to be sure their pet is in safe hands. 5*
