Hello!

My name is Ghiwa Haddad, i am 28 years old and im a physiotherapist (kinesitherapeut). I live together with my husband (Tony) in izegem.

We are both originally from Lebanon and animals have always been a huge part of our lives. We took care of many cats and dogs and also other animals such as rabbits, Guinea pigs, turtles and birds... 

Our love and appreciation for animals is imprinted within our character. We have learned through many interactions with dogs and cats how to understand their behaviour and adapt our communication with them. 

Additionally, i have 10 years worth of experience with rescuing stray dogs and cats, and providing medical assistance to veterinarians and some rescue organizations. 

A very personal story is when i was 13 years old, I got a puppy and I named him "Charlie". We instantly became inseperable best friends. We experienced the world together as we both grew up. Sadly, Charlie passed away when he turned 13 years old. I am now left with his memory that will forever remain in my heart. 

When I moved to Belgium, I first was a masters student in Leuven. I noticed then that many people share my love for animals and I have made some good friends through working in pawshake and hosting many pets. Once I graduated and moved to Izegem, I temporarily stopped working as a pet sitter as I did not have the time for it. 

As I have settled down now and Tony has joined me, i would like to have more opportunities to meet and get to know animal lovers and their pets. To us it is the kind of experience that gives us the most joy and happiness. 

We currently live in a small appartment that has 2 spacious terrasses. We often enjoy long walks in nature and go to parks and forest that are nearby, such as de vart walk and t'veld forest.
