My name is Tess. I am a 26y/o PhD student from the UK who has recently moved to Brussels to conduct research with VUB. Ever since I can remember I have had a love for animals and now I am in a new city, I would like nothing more than to meet my (furry) neighbours and give back to my new community. My first language is English and I am learning French (slowly but surely).
Experience-wise, I have been taking care of friends' pets for years while they are on vacation. This includes cats, rabbits and dogs. I grew up with my own rabbit and dog and frequently look after my mum's rescue greyhound, Daisy. Therefore, I am used to big dogs. I used to volunteer at a rescue kennels too, so I am accustomed to working with more difficult dogs who may have specific needs! Whether you need an occasional dog walker, or someone to pet-sit while you are on vacation, I would be more than happy to help! I would also be able to look after your pet in my appartment for shorter periods of time, for example during a working day. My work schedule is flexible so I can work around your needs within reason.
I would love to first have a coffee/ walk with you and your pet before any commitment so we can make sure we all get along. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me :)
Please note that your pet will only have access to the terrace on a lead and under supervision as it is not securely fenced. However, there are lots of dog parks nearby my home.

You can’t ask for a better dogsitter! Tess is clearly someone used to all types of dog. Leny came back home and immediately slept- this is how you know your dog had a great day. Thank you so much, Tess, and hopefully see you soon
