Hi,

My name is Audrey. I'm an American who became a Belgian resident in early 2021 after moving here to live with my boyfriend (we met on Erasmus in Austria in 2016). (My boyfriend speaks Dutch & French; I speak English).

I wanted to join Pawshake because, to be honest, I miss the joy and happiness a dog brings! We both work from home, at our apartment in Harzé, and are available to care for your dog day and/or night. I am a huge dog lover and you'll catch me smiling at every dog I pass by on our daily walks. We have a small enclosed balcony but live in walking distance to beautiful forest paths and the fresh air of nature!

I grew up with a springer spainel and later a chocolate labrador. Back in America, I frequently dog sat (simultaneously house sat). I also volunteered my time walking dogs at local animal shelters while in college. I tend to have a way with dogs and my boyfriend always jokes with me that I must've been a dog in my previous life! :)

I would love pets of my own, but at the moment it isn't possible with our active lifestyle of traveling back to America to visit my family (and chocolate lab, Miles!) on occasion. I only want the best for animals and when the time is right with our lifestyle, we will get a dog! In the meantime, I would be happy to take care of your dog for just a day or a few nights.
